Why?

REACHING OUT

LATER this year, I am celebrating my sixtieth birthday and it no longer surprises me that, wherever I look, young and old are busy checking their email and social media channels. It is almost as if they are in their own private world.

WAS IT ANY DIFFERENT 20 YEARS AGO?

Not really.... You would cue up to buy a paper and get your hands smudged by cheap ink.

MORE SOCIAL TIME?
Probably, unless you are lonely or feel like a stranger in the virtual world.

BETTER INFORMED?
Yes, is the short answer, although their are significant draw backs for ALL RETAILERS in smaller towns and villages.

EMPTY CHURCHES?
Coffee culture on a Sunday has replaced the "same old boring sermon" in the local Church. Much more fun to gossip, watch sport or sit jn a lonely corner, ignored by the affluent socialites

BACK TO BASICS?
That would be nice, but it requires dedicated hard work to restore Victorian style Christian values and a cessation of Sunday trading. Did somebody mention God in the process?
